I am always obsessed with bright colors and bold fashion statements. Standout clothing pieces and statement jewelry and pops of color or a wild pattern. I am so happy this Spring’s runways are saturated with vivid color and patterns. My newest spring collection of Revamped jewelry is inspired by the alive, vivid colors of vintage fashion, art and textiles.

Vintage Rings!
Saturday | September 17th, 2011
I Love vintage rings! There is just something very unique about most of them. They just seemed to make them more interesting in the past. The materials used and the details that reflect the time period are just so remarkable. They are truly an art form. I tend to wear several rings at a time unless I wear a huge cocktail ring, then more are not needed and can look gaudy. You want that huge centerpiece to be the shining star of that hand! I am partial to rings that are simple but have a lot of detail at the same time (if that makes any sense:) Bakelite and celluloid rings are my favorite but I am madly in love with metals too. Here, I have linked some amazing favorites from Etsy, where you can find the best of the best without having to leave the comfort of your fabulous home. Don’t forget to click the pic if you love it!

Beautifully Unique
Monday | September 12th, 2011
I have always been drawn to the unique and eclectic. I guess it is because I was raised by an interesting mother who always did everything differently. Growing up, our home was always filled with the strangest things Mom would bring home from yard sales and flea markets and thrown together so well, it was beautifully unique. Any statue in the house was always wearing a vintage necklace or bracelet and there were patterns and colors galore. Her interests never stuck to one particular genre, religion or style. (more…)

Vintage Bakelite Jewelry For Fall
Tuesday | September 6th, 2011
I love love love Bakelite! To me, as far as jewelry goes, I would actually rather have Bakelite than diamonds or gold. That’s right, better than diamonds to me. Don’t get me wrong, diamonds are beautiful and sparkly, and I do love them. But listen, I have a beautiful vintage 1930′s diamond wedding ring and band and those are all I need. However, I do feel like I have to have pretty much any piece of vintage Bakelite that I see.
Bakelite is a material not known to everyone. Bakelite was developed in 1907, it was one of the first plastics made from synthetic components. It became most popular for jewelry in the Art Deco era of the 1920′s-1930′s. This jewelry is highly collectable now, and for good reason. These pieces are all about making a statement especially since most of the more decorative pieces are hand carved and no two pieces are alike. The colors and deeply carved details are divine! Bakelite is dense, rich, and heavy, giving a feeling of luxury to it’s wearer. (more…)
Nouveau Bohemian
Monday | September 5th, 2011
I wanted to go through my favorite fashion aesthetics –I have a lot! Right now I am loving what I call Nouveau Bohemian. And that is boho-chic, right here – right now. Flowy, effortless…with an emphasis on Art Nouveau motifs and rich metals, loads of jewelry…
Hands down, My ultimate style icon of this look is Talitha Getty. She had the most natural sense of how to wear this look. A bohemian by nature, she was comfortable in her clothes and enjoyed adorning herself. Designers are continuously bringing Talitha’s ultra-chic, efortless but so boho-glam look back into the fold. This fall check Chloe, Yves Saint Laurent, and Ralph Lauren to name a few! (more…)
Blog Virgin
Saturday | September 3rd, 2011
This is my first blog -ever! I really don’t prefer writing about things I love, totally would rather talk about them – but truly, I’m just an awful writer! Anyway, I have decided to give it a go and pretend I am sitting here talking with a girlfriend.
This years Fall fashion has got me excited! I am happy to see the vivid colors, bold graphics, and all-out fabulous couture that has come down the runway. Dior! You have my heart aflutter with your yummy colors and beautiful graphics! All over the fashion spectrum, it is a fun return to the all the vintage we’ve loved. Loving the leather! Loving the return to the 80′s-but better! Those graphic prints and modernist details! Loving the 40′s comeback with the feminine silhouettes….Chanel! Valentino!I really can’t help wanting to make a wall of collage like I used to in high school of what looks good with what.
Thank the Lord of the rings I can do it on Etsy. There is a section where I can put what I love into a beautiful 16 piece collage and I have been putting together looks like crazy! Here is some Vintage We Love Now and some links to the collectives I’ve created on Etsy for some major inspiration …. (more…)
